How it works

Four steps, one day on site.

Most of the durability comes from the prep. We do not skip it - here is why the diamond grind decides if a coating lasts.

Grind

We diamond-grind the bare concrete to open the surface so the coating bonds mechanically.

Repair & base

Cracks, pits and chips are filled, then we roll on the tough polyurea base coat.

Flake

Decorative vinyl flake is broadcast to full refusal for the finished look and texture.

Topcoat

A clear polyaspartic topcoat seals it all in - UV-stable, and ready to use the next day.

Better than epoxy

The epoxy look, without epoxy's weak spots.

Epoxy was the standard twenty years ago. The polyaspartic system we install is the upgrade. Want the full breakdown? Read our polyaspartic vs epoxy comparison.

Standard epoxy

  • Yellows in sunlight over time
  • Several days to cure before you can park
  • Prone to hot-tire pickup and chipping
  • Less resistant to salt and chemicals

Everclad polyaspartic

  • UV-stable - it will not yellow
  • Cures in a day; back in use in 24 to 48 hours
  • Resists hot tires, impact and abrasion
  • Stands up to salt, oil and household chemicals

What we coat:

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions.

How much does a garage floor coating cost?

Our pricing is $8 per square foot, all-inclusive, quoted up front. A typical two-car garage runs about ~$3,200. There are no hidden fees - the number we quote is the number you pay.

How long does the installation take?

One day. We grind, repair, apply the base and flake, then seal with the polyaspartic topcoat in a single visit. The polyaspartic cures fast, so you can usually walk on it the next morning and park on it within 24 to 48 hours.

Is this the same as epoxy?

It gives you the epoxy-flake look, but it is a better system. We use a polyurea base with a polyaspartic topcoat instead of standard epoxy. It is UV-stable so it will not yellow, it cures in a day rather than several, and it stands up to hot tires, salt and impact far better than epoxy.

Will it peel, chip or fade?

A coating fails when the prep is rushed. We diamond-grind the concrete to a proper profile so the coating bonds mechanically, not just sits on top. The polyaspartic topcoat resists UV, chemicals and hot-tire pickup, and the work is backed by our written workmanship guarantee.

Do I need to move everything out of the garage?

Yes - the floor needs to be clear so we can grind and coat the full surface. Move vehicles and stored items out before we arrive. If you let us know what is in there ahead of time, we will tell you exactly what needs to come out.

What areas do you serve?

We cover the corridor from the north Chicago suburbs up to south Milwaukee, including Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, Somers, Racine, Mount Pleasant, Gurnee, Lake County, North Shore, South Milwaukee. Enter your ZIP in the quote form and it will tell you instantly whether you are in our area.

How long does the coating last?

A properly installed polyaspartic system lasts 15 to 20+ years in a residential garage. The prep and the UV-stable topcoat are what make the difference, which is why we back the work with a written workmanship guarantee.

Can you install in winter?

Yes. Polyaspartic cures across a wide temperature range, including cold weather where standard epoxy will not set. We install year-round in the garage; we plan around the weather for patios.

Why not just buy a DIY epoxy kit?

DIY kits skip the diamond grind, use a thin water-based epoxy, and commonly peel within a year or two, especially with hot-tire pickup and road salt. We grind to a mechanical bond and seal with a commercial polyaspartic topcoat - a different system built to last.

How do payment and the guarantee work?

We quote a flat, all-inclusive price up front with no hidden fees - the number we quote is the number you pay. Payment is due on completion, and your install is backed by our written workmanship guarantee. We are fully licensed and insured.
